erika forsythe is a current Host of Comcast Local Edition, which airs at the top of the hour on CNN Headline News. 

erika is a detail oriented individual who has experience with developing credibility and successfully cultivating relationships while leveraging resources.  She has served as a Public Affairs liaison and brand developer for Comcast Corporation where she also  managed the award winning TV Tutors Live! call-in homework television show, the Academic Challenge of Maryland quiz bowl and negotiation of the title sponsorship for the Salisbury Festival.

For 10 years, erika has conceptualized and implemented original programs and projects for various Universities, including American University in Washington, D.C., and she has handled logistics for events at venues large and small.  As the campus Marketing Specialist, she produced and made the statewide media buys for the University of Maryland Eastern Shore’s first ever television commercial and facilitated media coverage of the men’s and women’s basketball teams.  She has produced, written scripts and provided on-air and voiceover talent for public service announcements on radio and television.

erika holds an undergraduate degree in Business from Georgia Tech and a Masters in Public Affairs/Sport & Event Management from University of Maryland College Park.
